This online microcredential steps you through an integral part of an AV installation process — pulling cable. Topics covered include: reviewing relevant design resources and instructions; gathering the appropriate tools and materials specific to a cable pulling task; assessing and preparing the work area; exercising necessary safety precautions; preparing cables onsite; pulling cables; and, executing the necessary steps to finalize the cable pulling task.

Here’s What You’ll Need

  • Cables (at least three with different gauges)
  • Wire cutter
  • Nylon cord for pull-string
  • Vinyl electrical tape
